  • Abbeville: Abbeville is one of the important counties in South Carolina. The county seat is also known as Abbeville. Founded in the year 1785, the county has a population of around 26,167 people. There is a council which governs the county and the council meets every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.

  • Anderson:Anderson county is another important county in South Carolina. This county is named after Robert Anderson, who was a revolutionary war leader. This county is known for its various tourist attractions. These includes Blue Ridge Mountain, Hartwell Lake, Myrtle Beach and others.

  • Aiken: Aiken is one of the major counties in South Carolina. It is known for its excellent transport facilities. Various important highways have passed through this county. There is a historical museum here which provides lot of information about South Carolina as well as Aiken.

  • Darlington: Another important county of South Carolina is Darlington. The county seat is also known as Darlington. It was established in the year 1785 and has a population of 67,394. There is a Council in the county which governs it. The council generally meets every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.

  • Hampton: This county is known for its breathtaking locales and peaceful atmosphere. There are various tourist attractions here and is very close to Charleston, Hilton Head and Columbia.
