The Myrtle Beach, international airport is a public airport located 3 miles southwest of the city of Myrtle Beach in Horry County city of South Carolina in U.S.A. the international airport is located on the former air force base of Myrtle Beach. One agreement was made on 22 March 1975 for civilians and military at the base. The construction of the international airport formally began on the northeastern portion of the air force base runway on 19th July, 1975. It was opened for commercial aviation in the year 1976. The construction of the new airport replaced the commercial airport which was located in the Crescent Beach area in the North Myrtle Beach. The new airport became the grand strand airport and it now serves for the private and corporate aircraft with facilities like parking, refueling, and maintenance.
